Located at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), the twin towers are impossible to miss if you’re driving or walking along the city centre. Standing tall at 452m/1,483ft, The Petronas Twin Towers still holds the title as the world’s tallest twin towers till this very day!
What time is the Petronas Twin Towers KLCC Visit open?
The Petronas Twin Towers KLCC Visit is open from Tuesday – Sunday, from 10am – 6pm. Last admission on public holidays is at 5.30pm. The twin towers are closed every Monday for maintenance purposes. If you are planning to make the trip up to the observatory deck at Petronas Twin Towers, we highly advise you to make a booking prior your visit as the slots are very limited. However, even if all the tickets are Sold Out at your desired Visit Time, you may try your luck to purchase the tickets at the Petronas Twin Towers Ticketing Counter. Located at the Concourse Level, the tickets sold there are subject to availability.
We found that the best time to visit the Petronas Twin Towers KLCC is during the late afternoon session (5.15pm) as you can get a beautiful sunset view of the city.

How to visit Petronas Twin Towers KLCC?
As long as you are in Kuala Lumpur, navigating to the Petronas Twin Towers KLCC is quite easy. You have a variety of options to get here; by car, bus or train. If you are driving here, you can take either the Jalan Ampang, Jalan P. Ramlee or Jalan Kia Peng tunnels which leads to the KLCC parking bays. KL Monorail Line
- Exit the KL Monorail at KL Sentral/Bukit Nanas and switch to LRT Kelana Jaya Line. From there onwards, exit at the KLCC station.
KTM (Seremban Line & Port Klang Line)
- From KL Sentral switch to LRT Kelana Jaya and exit at the KLCC station.
LRT (Ampang Line & Sri Petaling Line)
- Take the train to Masjid Jamek then change to the LRT Kelana Jaya line and exit at the KLCC station.
MRT (Sungai Buloh – Kajang Line)
- Exit the MRT line at the Pasar Seni station and then changeover to the LRT Kelana Jaya line. Then, exit at the KLCC station.
How does the Petronas Twin Towers Visit work?
- Present your online booking tickets or purchase them at the Ticketing Counter at the Concourse Level.
- Your assigned tour guide will take you to the SkyBridge located on the 41st Floor. You will be given around 10-15 minutes to explore the area.
- You will then be required to take another lift up to the Observation Deck located on the 86th Floor. After around 10 – 15 minutes of taking in the gorgeous views of Kuala Lumpur, your guide will lead you to another lift down to the 83rd Floor.
- The Digital Displays on the 83rd Floor will be the last stop before you descend down to the ground floor and end your tour.

- If you are unfamiliar with the area or visiting for the first time, we suggest taking an e-Hailing ride to Petronas Twin Towers KLCC to reduce the hassle of changing train/bus lines
- Book your Petronas Twin Towers KLCC Visit tickets ahead of time, usually 1 – 2 weeks prior to your visit
- After checking out the Petronas Twin Towers KLCC, you can walk around Suria KLCC mall and also check out the KLCC Park located just behind the twin towers
- You are not allowed to carry any selfie sticks during the visit, so make sure to keep it at the lockers provided

1. Learn more about the World’s Tallest Twin Towers
During your Petronas Twin Towers KLCC visit, each group will be assigned a tour guide who will bring you on an unforgettable journey to 3 floors in the twin towers. If you look closely, you will notice that the twin towers have a unique floor plate design, formed by 2 interlocking squares to form an 8 point star. The designs are specially integrated to reflect the Islamic patterns, local handicrafts and weaving patterns in Malaysia.
2. Walk on the World’s Highest 2-story Bridge! (SkyBridge – Level 41 & 42)
Standing at a jaw dropping height of 170m/558ft, the Petronas Twin Towers KLCC also holds the record for being the World’s Highest 2-story Bridge. As you walk along the SkyBridge at Level 41 & 42, you might feel that the bridge is swaying from time to time.
There’s no reason to be worried as the SkyBridge was purposely designed to be attached partially to the twin towers. This provides enough space for minor movements especially during strong winds and storms to prevent the SkyBridge from causing too much strain on the twin towers.
3. Get the best view of Kuala Lumpur (Observation Deck – Level 86)
On the Observation Deck at Level 86, you will be greeted with one of the most amazing views of the city. If you visited the Petronas Twin Towers in the late evening like we did, you can expect to catch the beautiful sunset shining down on a clear sunny day. Make sure to check the weather forecast before hand, and avoid visiting on a cloudy or rainy day, otherwise you won’t be able to get a good view.
4. Try Sight Seeing on the Telescope (Petronas Twin Towers KLCC)
Scope around using the power telescope on the 86th Floor of the Petronas Twin Towers and check out the surrounding buildings and skyscrapers.

Take a walk along the jogging trail and try to find the one which passes by the wading pool. We stumbled upon this area by accident and realised that the views here are absolutely stunning. The best part is that there are not many visitors here as most of them are at the entrance of the Petronas Twin Towers.
13. Watch Lake Symphony light show (KLCC Park)
Located also at the KLCC Park, the Lake Symphony light show performs various animations and mesmerising performance using light, sound and water effects. The KLCC Lake of Symphony Light & Sound Water Fountain premiers daily at 8pm, 9pm and 10pm. As for the Lake of Symphony (Light show only), the showtimes are 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.30pm daily.
14. Explore Malaysia’s Largest Aquarium! (Aquaria KLCC)
Visit this stunning oceanarium which is located just beside the Petronas Twin Towers KLCC. Watch the monster fishes such as the Arapaima and the Alligator Garfish swimming around the massive fish tank. There is even a living ocean exhibit which features a 90 metre transparent tunnel, consisting of various marines species such as sand tiger sharks and the green turtle.
